Chris - Leamington

We booked our trip with the Carrick Leamington Office, with Chris Edgeller providing us with excellent service throughout, and very knowledgeable and friendly help from both Sarah Capp and David Johns in their Australasia Department, together with excellent support whilst we were in New Zealand from Darlene Phillips from Travel Time, based in NZ.
We started in Hong Kong which was a fascinating experience and then travelled on to New Zealand, which had been a long-dreamed of destination. We ended by travelling back via Raratonga, in the Cook Islands and LA, giving us a true round the world journey. The whole trip was carefully planned to give us the best experience possible, with excellent accommodation throughout, which was well positioned and varied, with hotels, villas, wonderful B&B’s, boutique hotels, motels and farm stays. The final itinerary we were provided with was well researched and informed. This also highlighted the value of pre-booking both accommodation and tours, as on our travels we met those who had not been so well planned, and so were disappointed and did not do or see all they had hoped for. We were away for seven weeks, five weeks in NZ. We much appreciated the on-going support from Darlene and Chris during our trip, with any snags being resolved quickly. It was apparent to us that we were given excellent rooms throughout, with t he advantage of having booked early giving us our first choices of accommodation and places on all tours we wanted to do. Highlights for us were the trip to Doubtful Sound on the overnight cruise, Atholwood B&B in Nelson and seeing whales in Kaikoura and albatross in Otago, and of course, the wine tasting in both Blenheim and Hawkes Bay.
Having this tour so well organised was due to Carrick’s experience and ability to know their customer’s requirements and needs, and their skills in accessing local knowledge to provide best use of the time available and the opportunity to see and do all that these fantastic destinations have to offer.
