Skiing

Skiing at Les 3 Vallees

Are you are skiing nut? If so then heading to Les 3 Vallées should be on the top of your list. I have just returned from a wonderful week staying at the Chalet Loden with Mark Warner Ski, who should also be on your list!

The outbound trip was seamless. We decided to take the BA charter flight option from Gatwick to Grenoble and on arrival we were plane to coach transfer within 30 minutes for the 2 ½ journey to the heart of the Alps.

Mark Warner were superb and I couldn’t fault them with the chalet hosting; lift passes and ski hire happened at the chalet, so no time was wasted going into the village to collect them for what was promising to be a fantastic week of skiing.

Les 3 Vallées in my opinion has the biggest and varied ski area in the world, catering for all abilities from complete novice to expert so you should never be short of challenging runs. We were fortunate enough to have 10cms of powder fall on our first night, so our inaugural dinner was full of excited chat towards what the first day on the slopes would be like.

We were not disappointed! The week was superb; the chalet hosts were fantastic, the catering was the best I have ever had and this was by far my favourite skiing trip to date.

No trip to Meribel would be complete without a visit to the infamous Folie Douce for a little bit of après ski, table top dancing is optional but highly encouraged, and if that is not enough for you then you can round of your day off at the Rond Point.

Would I go again, you bet, in fact I am returning in next year!
